About

Hi there! Thanks for scrolling over to learn more about the Maker here at Sunflower Sue Made, Lisa Wolters.

After many years of experience in a whole lot of different things--journalist, teacher, school bus driver, entrepreneur, paraprofessional, farmer and rancher, I have found the thing that I absolutely love--Making. Making all things as well and beautiful as I can, with ideas that pop into my head from what I see around me on the farm/ranch here in northwestern Kansas.

Yep, I still ranch, with my husband, Josh, and carry on that tradition learned from my mother as a child, much like I learned about farming from my father. Our children, of which there are two, are grown and busy with their own lives. Through creating what I do, I hope to leave a legacy of art that can be passed down the generations. I create pieces from precious metals and gemstones to have inherent value when purchased, and craftsmanship to endure the test of time, making memories through the wearing along the way until they find their next owner. It is my hope my work outlasts me and continues to gain value in the making of good memories while it is worn.

Blessings-

Lisa
