Owl under the moon pendant on chain, 14/20 gold-filled

This gold-filled necklace features three different length adjustments from just over 18" to 20.5", and is finished with a lobster claw clap. The pendant features Sir Owlbert on a branch under a crescent moon.

Gold-filled items are made by heat- and pressure-bonding a layer of 14K (or 12K) gold to a base-metal core. The 14/20 notation refers to the ratio of karat gold to base-metal core by weight; the first figure is the karat value of the gold layer, the second is the total percentage (by weight) of precious metal contained in the item. On double-clad items, the quantity of precious metal is divided between the upper and lower surfaces of the core metal.
